Introducing IconAds!

New Advertisment System

Want to advertise your site here? Purchase an IconAd block for as low as $5.00 a month or $45.00 a year*! Purchase 5 or more blocks at once and get 25% off. Two locations are available with both using different icon size. Depending on your needs (and availability) you can choose to have your icon placed in the header area or the content area. Hurry, because these prices WILL NOT stay this low. Purchasing for a year is the only way to lock in this price.

Pricing:

  • Header blocks: $9.00/mo - $81/yr*
  • Content blocks: $5/mo - $45/yr*

Why pay more for header ads? Simple, Header ads are bigger, are at a prime location on the page and show on EVERY page, where content ads show on all pages except for the store page. Header blocks are four times larger, but not even two times the price. All blocks are sold on a first come-first serve basis, so do not wait, order yours now!

Multi-block discounts are given at a rate of %25 off with 5 or more blocks purchased at a time.

*Yearly price includes 25% discount.

News for nerds, stuff that matters
  • Microsoft To Offer Free Anti-Virus Software
Dynamoo writes "The good news is that Microsoft have announced free anti-virus software for consumers, dubbed Morro, available late next year. The bad news is... well, exactly the same. Although Microsoft's anti-malware products are pretty good, this move could drive many competitors out of business and create a dangerous security monoculture; major rivals will be lawyering up already. On the other hand, many malware infections could be prevented even by basic software. So is this going to be a good or bad thing overall?"

The iPhone and iPod Touch haven taken the mobile market by storm. Apple's AppStore is full of interesting applications that take advantage of the two devices's capabilities. But what's in there for Linux users? Sadly, GTKPod and Amarok cannot yet transfer files on an iPhone with the 2.x firmware upgrade, but there are other interesting ways your iPhone can interact with your Linux desktop and even servers.
